I just wanted to say thank you to for suggesting an image of mine named "Summer Day Past" for a DD and to DA for accepting it. Since this image was accepted for a DD it's been several times. I've found that the out number the time I have to say THANK YOU to each individually, so with that in mind I'm using my journal to say THANK YOU to all that have the image...I greatly appreciate everyone of you and your support! It means a lot to me ...more than you'll ever know!

Have you ever noticed how childhood seems to be so magical? Being a child is so carefree and wonderful, and while there are things about childhood that I would'nt want to repeat or live through again, the carefree aspects of it I miss greatly.

As I watch my own children play, learn & grow I am amazed at how I've been blessed to have these people in my life. The imagination of a child, their outlook on the world, innocense and wonder at all that surrounds them always amazes me.

I love doing photo sessions with children, they are my favorite subjects...in that spirit and the spirit of being a child, I thought I'd share a few favorite works of other's here on DA involving children. They are in my opinion beautiful and very peaceful works because what is more beautiful than childhood and the wonder that comes with it!

Summer is in full swing here with the hot and humid weather that comes with living in the south. Kids are out of school and playing through out neighborhoods all around, sprinklers, popcicles, ice cream, bathing suits, pools and beaches.Shirtless boys and bare feet. Long days with sunlight shinning way past 8pm...all the things that summer brings.

With summer brings birthdays in our family, all of our boys are summer babies, June is full of cake & ice cream, presents and parties! In celebration of our youngest boys (twins) birthday I ventured outside with them to do a little photo session to remember the day and age of these precious gifts from God. They came into my life in all their glory and have brought nothing but love, hugs, kisses, play, and adventure. I cherish each and everyday with them and thank the heavens above that I was chosen to be their Mommy!

This journal is all about summertime and the emotions this time of year brings...below are some of the images from my boys birthday session, along with some images from the great artists here on DA that remind me of summer and the emotion it brings with it. Well as it seems a pattern has be happening for some time...I've been away from DA for quite some time now yet again! Life gets in the way it seems, more often than not. As I popped on to DA this morning I noticed my last journal entry was for the fall season...wow...that's a long time ago. Two whole seasons have passed...geesh...life's been crazy!

This spring season I've been crazy busy with photo shoots and image processing...then of course comes the daily life of being Mom and Wife...I love my life, but sometimes it just doesnt leave any room for leasure activities like browsing and commenting on DA.

Hopefully I'll have more time to pop over here more often than not, but as it stands right now I dont have any extra time for it. I will however try to upload more often with new things I'm doing...I can honestly say I've been busy shooting like crazy...I'll definitely have to share some of the new images soon!

I hope everyone is having a great spring season...summer is almost here...school is almost out...less stressful time of the year and hopefully that will lend more time for me, at least until it all starts back again in the fall.
